Celebrating Telecommunicators Worldwide: 112 Day
For the past 10 years, the European Emergency Number Association (EENA), and other emergency service number associations worldwide remind nations and communities of the value of the single emergency service number systems and the people who make them possible.
No matter what number people dial to request assistance, countries across the globe pause today – 112 Day – to recognize emergency and public safety communication personnel for the impact they have in our communities every day.
This year's activities honor the extraordinary service of emergency communication professionals over the last 12 months in addressing the global COVID-19 pandemic. Encourage your communities to join in the global campaign using the hashtags: #112Day2021 and #thankyouchain:
  • Post a Thank You message on Twitter, thanking emergency communication professionals for their commitment and dedication.
  • Post emergency and rescue anecdotes on Twitter that you may have to showcase the professionalism and commitment of emergency professionals in your country.
  • The staff of NHTSA's Office of EMS and the National 911 Program recognize and appreciate the strength, commitment and resilience that telecommunicators demonstrate each day worldwide.  Thank you, again, for all you do.
